The Garden Sun Bronze Hammer Coated Patio Heater is crafted from resilient hammered steel and coated to resist the elements. In addition to premium performance, this patio heater sports a sleek design with a warm bronze finish. This powerful patio heater has the potential to heat up a substantial area quickly with up to 41,000 BTUs. Includes a QCC regulator and a protective cover. Last year (2009) I bought this unit and a table top unit. I like both but really prefer the full size better because I have to remove the umbrella to place the table top unit. I just bought a second full size unit this year. I keep one on my deck and one on my lower patio. I'll still use the table top one if I know we're going to be hanging out around the table, and if the sun has already passed. I think the heating range is decent. It is 7-8 feet on either side of the unit. Assembly was easy.

First, the pictures do not represent (in detail) the actual item received, although functionally it's all there. It was a laborious job to take off all the vinyl film that protects the stainless steel surface. The heating is adequate, and it is easy to use. The cover that came with the unit was very disappointing. One of the wheels came off the first time we used it. If you expect a top of the line product, this is not. If you are on a budget but looking for a smart patio heater, it's a contender.

    The Patio Heater seems to work well. The manufacturer went through a lot to effort to coat the housing with a gunmetal finish so it would hold up to the elements. The only thing is that they used very low end hardware for the door that holds the propane tank. I would bet that in a limited period in time it will rust out. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. Overall quality other than that seems good. Assembly directions are poor

    Looked at LP fire pits and wood burning options. Did not fit our needs. This unit was easy to assemble, easy to get LP connected, and relatively easy to light (had to purge the air from the lines a couple of times to get the pilot lit). Heats quickly and looks good on the patio. The door to the tank compartment is not a perfect fit but not a deal breaker. Did notice that the top tube just wouldn't fit in a totally vertical position. It remained a little crooked even when I reset the screws and washers to try and get perpendicular to the base. A little awkward to move as the wheel assembly is kind of small based on the height and weight of the unit. Overall, a very good value and a great alternative to much more expensive fire pits and better than the hassle of building, stoking, cleaning, and enduring the annoying smoke of burning wood.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
